Oreo Challenge ~ Statistics & Data
I am so excited to try this challenge with my 5th graders! We have been practicing and reviewing Mean, Median, Mode and Range this month. I saw this idea on Pinterest and found it at Runde's Room but didn't see any type of worksheet to go with the project, so I made one! You can find it at my TpT Store for only $1.50! I can't wait to post pictures of my students completing this challenge!
New Items at TpT!!
A couple of new items that I have put up in my store. I love this first one that is one of the Behavior Charts I have used in the classroom. It allows you to have up to three goals for the student and break your marking periods into how your schedule is laid out Students receive a 3-2-1 for each marking period related to how their behavior is. 3 being the best and 1 being the worst You can then calculate a percentage score to send home to parents. I always us 80% as a benchmark for a great day. Please make sure you have a conference with parents on an acceptable percentage so students expectations are the same at both home and school.
.
I also love using Exit Slips in my classroom to monitor student understanding of concepts taught during a lesson. I created these that have a more direct focus on what I want them to be writing. They are to write one thing they learned and one question they still have about something they aren't understanding. A good amount of students are more comfortable writing a question that they know you will only see versus raising their hand putting them in front of the class.
I hope you enjoy and can use these item in your classroom and have the success I have had as well. Please leave a comment or question about my products.

Teachers Pay Teachers
Not only have I started on this new journey into the world of combining my work with a past time in blogging, I have also started my own store in Teacher Pay Teachers. I am excited to share my first created product.
We are currently learning about interpreting statistical data practicing Mean, Mode, Median, and Range. I am always trying to find new ways to help students practice the standards in a multitude of ways. One of the best is with games and what better way to practice than with Cootie Catcher or sometimes called Fortune Tellers.
I have created a Cootie Catcher to help your students practice the skill of finding MMMR. I would love for feedback on the product! Let me know what you think.
Click Here to go to my Teacher Pay Teachers site to download this product for only $1.00!
Welcome!
I have been wanting to for years to start a blog to share my ideas and collaborate with others. It brings much joy when I get help someone else and maybe in the process bring a smile. I want to welcome you to my very first teaching blog and welcome feedback on helping me create this into a place where we can collectively share ideas and support one another.
