Literacy Centers - Letter /Kk/

Whoa! Must get back to blogging!  Got some new refreshing ideas from our Little Apple Tech Festival that I attend each year for Technology professional development.  Attended my co-worker and friend's session on blogging.  It was just the thing to motivate me to focus on getting my blog back up and current.

This is my third year in the primary grade of Kinderland!  I say that like it is Candyland, but truly we are in our own little world.  We have so much to do with the bitties that a lot of the time our needs as teachers are completely different from other grade levels.  I have been spending time creating and working on building my material for primary over the past couple of years.  I still have a LONG way to go to fill like I have my resources where I want, but who am I kidding can we ever really have too much to pull from?

One of my goals has been also to increase my products on my Teachers Pay Teachers site. I enjoy tweaking and adding my own spin on activities, while also creating new ones.  Sharing is also one of the things I love to do!  If I can help others this bring me joy!

We finally have gotten to work with guided groups.  We have mostly now can manage our own behaviors so that I can focus on the needs of my kids.  Working in a building that is 65% free and reduced status out needs of our students very greatly.  We have done mostly whole class teaching due to teaching appropriate behaviors.  I am excited that we can now start to work like "student's".  I knew they could, we just needed LOTS of practice.  We are getting reading to work on the letter /Kk/ so I created my own Write the Room that included three different types of levels to meet the needs of my learners.  Students can practice just finding and writing words/write them in sentences and create their own sentence.
